  5. The Palm General Ledger is multi-currency, multi-divisional and is designed to
  6. provide facilities to record all aspects of a company's financial accounts.
  7. Accounts can be in the range of 6-14 characters long and/or a six-character
  8. alphanumeric short code, and allows for up to 99 divisions, 999 departments,
  9. 9999 cost centres and up to 32000 expense codes. Input can be direct or via
  10. links from the payroll, purchase ledger and sales ledger. Enquiry facilities
  11. exist to view current, history, forward or budget figures in the base currency
  12. or any other. As well as a series of standard reports, a report generator is
  13. provided. At each period end the current transactions can be retained as
  14. history for a user-definable period. Prepayments and accruals with automatic
  15. reversal are allowed.
